There’s a fire in my chest that grows when rustled by the breeze. Here’s to hoping a little spark escapes and joins yours.
Little Moments, Big Impact
Hey there,
I’m Jamie and baseball caps are my natural habitat. Weekdays you’ll find me teaching teachers and working alongside some real badasses while we attempt to be the change in a broken education system.
The rest of the time I’m happily ruining another “town” hat, watching dirty kids out of the corner of my eye, pitching the next project to my bearded lover/husband/Jake-of-all-trades, and drinking a strong cappuccino.
On our one acre farm in Northern California, we are restoring the soil with regenerative practices, teaching our wildlings through the wonder of nature’s perfect systems, and practicing little ways to leave less of a trace. Our home and land are one giant, imperfect science experiment. We share the beauty and learning we discover along the way in hopes you will be inspired to spend your own little moments outside.
The human race has not been gentle with Mother Earth and it’s too late for my generation to repair and restore that harm. However, I’ve learned to never underestimate the power and brilliance of children. They will protect what they know and love. It’s our job to make the introductions.
There’s so much I don’t know and even more I don’t know that I don’t know. But I follow my gut and pour my soul into what feels right. Right now that’s intoxicating flowers, colorful chicken eggs, rascally goats, lavender-everything, kids covered in mud, books that inspire questions, and the big idea that by sharing what’s on my heart, we will make this world a better place.
There’s a fire in my chest that grows when rustled by the breeze. Here’s to hoping a little spark escapes and joins yours.
Love,
